PLEASANTON, Calif., Jun. 2 – iHype.com, a pre-launch social media marketing service, announced today that the company has launched a beta version of its anticipated marketing platform. The release will be open to bloggers and access provided by invite only.

“We are very excited at the progress made by our engineering team and eager to get solid feedback by our bloggers,” said Ben Behrouzi, president and CEO of iHype. “This beta is simply the beginning as iHype will continue to add a considerable number of tools to be released over the course of the year,” said Behrouzi who’s team has been developing the platform since January 2008.

The private beta allows bloggers to create accounts, input their websites and set up their profiles before the official launch to advertisers this summer. “We’ve made it considerably easy for our publishers to add their websites, prepare their profiles and set their pricing,” said Behrouzi, who’s platform automatically retrieves key website statistics such as Google Page Rank and Alexa Traffic Rank which will be utilized by advertisers in determining the eligibility of publishers for their marketing campaigns.

Additionally, the service provides full commissions to publishers and promises to pay publishers much quicker than existing models. For example, a publisher that subscribes to an advertiser’s campaign offering $25 receives the full $25 via Paypal within 24 business hours from the completion of the work. iHype believes the timing of payments is quite important to publishers and calculates that several of its payment features will be very well received by publishers.

The all star engineering team is based out of Pleasanton California and is tasked with delivering the enterprise application by the summer of 2008.

Reply.com co-founder and former CTO, Ben Behrouzi, who co-founded Reply.com at 20 and transformed online lead generation in real estate, automotive and other services, is now focused on the fast growing social media marketing space. 

Behrouzi announced that the new company, known as iHype, is developing an online marketing platform that is designed to give marketers the ability to market their products and services through hundreds of thousands of online bloggers and content publishers.

“The exponentially growing base of bloggers and content publishers has given birth to a new sphere of influence,” said Behrouzi, who intends to build a marketplace that allows marketers to leverage for their social marketing strategies.

Exact details around how iHype will work or its differences with other models have not yet been released, though the company intends to have a beta built by the summer of 2008.

“Our platform will allow marketers to produce profound results around traffic, buzz and search engine optimization with the same ease as one uses Google Adwords”, said Behrouzi who has raised $1.1 million startup cash for the new company.

The 8 person company plans to triple its staff by the end of 2008. The company has also attracted some key bay area engineering talent, including top developers from Ebay and Yahoo.
